So back to blogging and continuing my quest to share information with you about the value of the scrubby bush. Rubbish is a continuing problem in most places, and when you cycle you see it clearly on the road sides. So when a friend sent me a link to this fantastic mockumentary, I thought I'd share it with you.
It's called "The Majestic Plastic Bag" and it's narrated by Academy award winner, Jeremy Irons. I hope you'll enjoy it and share it with others.
I've also taken a holiday. Well let's call it a change. I just arrived back from a cycling holiday. 470kms of cycling through central Queensland. It was supposed to be 570km, however our arrival, (I was joined by about 1000 other cyclists on this organised event), caused the drought to break and we had to be bussed out of one section through flooded roads. With little training under my belt, and a throat infection courtesy of a friend, I was not too disappointed with the lowered target.
Hi Cheryl. Glad to see you back. Looking forward to some stories.
ReplyDeleteI had a little *moment* when you talked about your cycling tour. One of the blogs I read is called:
Bush Babe Of Oz (http://bushbabeofoz.com/).
The lady that writes it has just been talking about helping her small school cater for the morning tea of 1200 cyclists. You probably ate her scones! Go check her out. She writes wonderful tales about the bush and life on the land.
Good to see you back in the blogosphere, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed that mockumentary, very good.
Welcome back! Our political scene will certainly be a bit different for a time, let's hope some good things happen.
ReplyDeleteHi missed, you looks like you have been busy, look forward to more advise...
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Cheryl! Loved the video and it looks like you've kept very busy in the past months. Can't wait to hear/see what else you've been up too!
